The Poem Pros keeps as little as it can, for as short a time as it can, and never sells or shares it. Here is everything, plainly.

When you order a quippie

When you invite us to an event

The Events form sends what you write (your name, email, the date, place and details) to poets@thepoempros.com as an email, so we can write back. Nothing else is kept.

What stays on your own device

The quippies you type, the envelope, the discards pile and whether the typewriter's sound is on are kept in your own browser, on your device. They aren't sent anywhere unless you order. Clearing your browser's data clears them.

Sharing a quippie happens on your device: the page draws a picture of it and hands it to the app you choose, like Instagram or Messages. Nothing is uploaded to us.

Counting visits

To know whether the site is useful, each page sends us a small, anonymous note: which page, the website you came from (just its name, like instagram.com), and whether you're on a phone or a computer. The typewriter page also notes when someone starts typing, puts a quippie in the envelope, presses order, or shares. We don't use cookies, don't store your IP address, and keep nothing that says who you are. The notes are kept for 90 days.

Who runs it

The site and its order system run on Amazon Web Services in the United States; payments run on Stripe. We don't use advertising, trackers, or any other service that follows you around the web.

Questions, or to have something deleted

Write to poets@thepoempros.com. We'll tell you what we have, and delete it if you ask.
